For Residents of the UAE
You've built a life in the Emirates. A second citizenship secures what residence alone cannot — a permanent, inheritable status and easier global travel — without changing anything about your life in the UAE.
In brief
Residents of the UAE can hold a second citizenship: eligibility follows the passport you hold today, not where you live. Most apply to Caribbean programs — St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda — remotely from Dubai in roughly three to six months, and UAE residency, Golden Visa included, is unaffected.
Why It Matters Here
The UAE is one of the world's largest markets for investment migration — for reasons that follow directly from expat life.
Many expat passports need embassy appointments for Europe, the UK, or beyond. The Caribbean citizenships open visa-free short stays across much of the world, including the Schengen Area under the 90/180 rule.
UAE residence is a permit — excellent, but tied to visas, employment, or investments. Citizenship is a permanent legal status that travels with you whatever changes.
A second citizenship passes to your children and, in most programs, to theirs. Residence permits never do — each generation must qualify anew.
A second nationality can widen banking, company formation, and investment access — practical flexibility for globally active families.
One question deserves a straight answer first: the UAE does not offer citizenship by investment. The UAE Golden Visa grants outstanding long-term residence— Emirati citizenship cannot be applied for or purchased. That is exactly why so many UAE residents pair their residency with a second citizenship from a country that lawfully grants one: the visa anchors your life here, the citizenship secures your family's permanence everywhere else. We advise on both, together.

Candid by Policy
Honest advice starts with the rules of the passport you hold today.
Indian nationals:India does not permit dual citizenship. Taking a second citizenship means renouncing Indian citizenship — with the OCI card preserving lifelong access to India afterwards. Some families conclude it is worth it; others don't. We lay out the trade-off plainly before anything is signed.
Pakistani nationals: Pakistan recognises dual citizenship with a defined list of countries; for others, holding a second nationality is common practice. We confirm the position for your specific case.
All nationalities: whether your home country permits, tolerates, or prohibits dual citizenship is the first question of the engagement — answered with counsel where needed, never assumed.
How It Works
The entire process runs from where you are — most clients never travel for it.

We assemble and verify the file to government due-diligence standards. Everything can be completed from the UAE.
The government's multi-layer checks run — typically two to six months depending on the program.
Approval in principle, the qualifying investment, then certificates and travel documents. Most Caribbean programs require no visit at all.
Common Questions
Yes. Eligibility depends on your nationality and background, not on where you live. Residents of the UAE apply to programs such as St. Kitts & Nevis, Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia, Antigua & Barbuda, or Turkey exactly as they would from anywhere — and Dubai is one of the industry's main advisory hubs.
Generally no. The Caribbean programs are processed remotely with no visit required (Antigua & Barbuda asks for five days within five years of citizenship). Turkey requires one visit for biometrics. Your life and work in the UAE continue uninterrupted.
No. Your UAE residence visa — including a Golden Visa — remains exactly as it is. Many clients hold both: long-term UAE residence for daily life, and a second citizenship for permanence and travel. The two solve different problems and work well together.
India does not permit dual citizenship: acquiring another nationality means renouncing Indian citizenship, after which the OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card preserves lifelong visa-free access to India and most practical rights. It is a significant, personal decision — we walk through it candidly before any application.
Roughly three to six months for most Caribbean programs from a complete file, and four to eight for Turkey. Preparation quality is the biggest variable, which is where an experienced advisor earns their fee.
