Argentina announced a citizenship by investment program on 2 October 2026, and the government says it will officially launch in the fourth quarter of this year. Here is what has been confirmed, what has not, and how we will handle it.

The program rests on Decree 366/2025. In June 2026 a federal appeals court held invalid, in an individual case, the articles that moved naturalization decisions from federal judges to the National Migration Directorate. We have not seen a final ruling from the Supreme Court.

A subscription to a government bond created for the program. Holding period and redemption terms are not yet published.

Family members

  • Spouse (US$100,000 contribution)
  • Children aged 18 to 25, single and without children (US$100,000 each)
  • Children under 18 (US$25,000 each)

On the announced figures, a couple with two children under 18 would contribute US$500,000 on the Treasury route, before government, due-diligence and professional fees, none of which are published yet.
